The Tax Industry's Bait-and-Switch

You meet the senior partner. Your finances get passed to junior staff. You pay premium rates for entry-level work — and deductions get left on the table.

The Delegation Trap

Most firms sell you on credentials, then hand your sensitive documents to unsupervised associates. You're paying for expertise you never receive.

Reactive Filing, Not Strategy

April becomes a scramble. Your CPA files your return but never calls to discuss estimated payments, entity structuring, or year-end planning. You're always behind.

Generic Advice, Not Counsel

"Call us if you have questions." No proactive guidance. No quarterly check-ins. No strategic tax planning — just compliance work dressed up as advisory.

Alan Balmer, PC is the antidote.

Large-Firm Rigor. Single-CPA Accountability.

Every spreadsheet, every S-Corp model, every IRS letter, and every line item on your return is personally drafted and reviewed by Alan. No junior associates. No administrative layers. No generic answers.

Direct Access

You work directly with the CPA who prepares your work — not a manager who signs and forwards. Every engagement begins and ends with Alan.

Strategic Advisory

Quarterly planning sessions. Pre-year-end strategy calls. Entity structuring reviews. This isn't compliance work — it's ongoing tax counsel.

Nationwide Capability

Active tax filings across all 50 states. Deep familiarity with state-specific structures, advantages, and filing requirements. One CPA, nationwide reach.

Specialized Expertise

S-Corporation optimization. HARPTA withholding exemptions. IRS problem resolution. Multi-state tax strategy. Niche services most firms can't handle.

Questions, Answered Directly

Will I work with you directly?

Always. There are no junior associates, no handoffs, no administrative layers. Every engagement begins and ends with the CPA who will do the work.

How do you bill for services?

Corporate and individual returns are typically billed at a flat rate after completion. Bookkeeping and payroll are fixed monthly. Proposals are provided in advance for audits and special projects — there are no surprises.

What happens if I receive an IRS notice?

Only a CPA, attorney, or enrolled agent may represent you before the Service. I provide full representation and communicate directly with the agencies on your behalf — you are never alone in the room.

Do you work with clients outside of Texas?

Yes. Initial roots in Iowa and early clients who migrated across the country gave Alan deep, working familiarity with state-specific structures, advantages, and filing requirements across all 50 states.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

Smart business owners meet quarterly, not just at tax time. Alan recommends mid-year check-ins to review performance, adjust estimated payments, and implement tax strategies before year-end. Quarterly planning is included for clients with ongoing relationships.

What's the difference between a CPA and a tax preparer?

A CPA has passed rigorous exams, met experience requirements, and maintains continuing education. CPAs can represent you before the IRS, provide audit services, and offer strategic financial guidance. Tax preparers without CPA credentials have limited qualifications and cannot represent you in federal tax court.
